Today marks the official first day of fall, and yet it still feels like summer in Ohio. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for crunchy leaves on the ground, the smell of cinnamon in the air, and a big comfy sweater. While it might not feel like fall quite yet, the season of fall arts and craft shows is well under way. Fall marks a busy time for artists, as we are preparing for and attending many arts festivals. Currently, I am preparing and restocking some of my best selling items like my hand-made coasters and mini-paintings, in preparation for my next festivals.
As a subscriber to my mailing list, you get first notification of my upcoming fall and holiday festivals! These shows will feature hand-made items such as coasters, scarves, mini-paintings, ornaments, holiday cards, and prints that are great options as gifts for the holidays (or a gift for yourself!) You can find information about my upcoming shows below. And, remember, I do a giveaway box at each of my shows! So remember to stop by my booth and enter your name to win!
A BIG BLACK SWAMP THANK YOU!
I wanted to give a special 'Thank You' to everyone who came out to visit my booth at the Black Swamp Arts Festival! This was my first year at the festival, and needless to say, I was VERY nervous! First of all, I had never done such a large festival. Secondly, I had never done a two day festival. So I had NO IDEA how the festival was going to go....or if I would survive the two days! Would people like my art? Would I sell anything? Would anyone show up? But, guess what? People did show up and they did like my art!
Every single person who visited my tent made the event special and meaningful to me. I was so happy to meet and speak with everyone who took the time to visit my little area of color and joy during the festival. If you bought a piece from me at the festival, I would love to see where you have placed it in your home or office! Please feel free to send me a picture of your piece to my email firstname.lastname@example.org
Once again, thank you all for your support!
Do you host an arts and/or craft fair? Would you like to feature me? I am always looking for new arts & crafts shows to attend! If you are interested in working together, please complete the contact form below and I will reach out to you!
"I wish I was born in that era: dancing with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, going to work at the studio dressed in beautiful pants, head scarves, and sunglasses." - Catherine Zeta-Jones
There is nothing more chic than a scarf. In fact, I have an entire dresser drawer AND section of my closet dedicated to scarves that I have collected over the years. Fortunately, I am not the only person with a scarf obsession. Throughout the history of fashion, men and women have been using scarves as a way to express their identify and sense of style.
It is the versatility of scarves which have made them so iconic. A simple google search will return over 20+ ways to wear a scarf including as a head wrap, shawl, neck tie, or kimono. Not only are scarves so versatile, but they can be warn all year as a way to dress up any outfit. There is something about wearing a scarf that makes me feel so elegant and transports me back in time.
In dedication to my scarf obsession, I'm excited to announce that I have partnered with the Canadian company, Art of Where, to begin producing my own line of scarves! All scarves are handmade and feature my original artwork. Scarves will ship from Art of Where in Montreal, Canada. View a snapshot of my collection below and click on the button to begin shopping!
